Christian Music
Video Production
Most people rarely get a chance to see what Christian music
video production is all
about.
The reason why is gospel music is
still in a tight little confined box.
I personally watched 4 Christian videos the other day and
almost fell asleep.
The sad thing about that is I actually like Gospel
music.
Fred Hammond's "Pages of Life" double disc
CD is my favorite in the entire world.
That's not a stretch either.
So what's going on then? Why are these production videos so
whack? You mean to tell me God people can't do a better job
than this?
WWJD? Exactly! What would Jesus do? Media is about
entertainment and unfortunately the Christian community
does not get it.
Nobody wants to see you in a video that you shot on stage at
your church or at T.D. Jakes church. I see that every Sunday at
my church before and after worship.
Just because your videos have to be more family friendly
doesn't mean you have to be boring. The production of these
vids are garbage and they make the songs which are very good
look so BAD.

Outside of Kirk Franklin, Mary Mary or Yolanda Adams no one
knows what's going on. The only reason the above artist are
doing well is because they are a little more contemporary.
Someone in their camps is trying very hard to school them
on today's media.
Remember, this is the day and age of You Tube, Brightcove,
AOL Video, Imeem and Daily Motion.
Wake Up!
