DigiDesign
Protools Software Is Industry Standard
I'm sure that you have heard
that DigiDesign
Protools
is the name to have in your
studio. The plugins and quality that it provides is unmatched
by many. The talk is what has cheap people looking for free
downloads.(Shame If
That's You)
Thousands work with this
wonderful program which pushes it to the front of the
curve.
You Don't
Have To Have It
I have been producing music tracks since 1999
and I have never used Protools and I make
plenty of money.
Huh?
Yes! I was raised up in this
production game on Steinberg products so
Cubase and Nuendo are what I use as my weapons of
choice.
I have mastered these two
pieces of software
and they allow me to make thousands of dollars
daily.
Unless you are going to focus
on how to master in protools most
software application these days will work just fine.
However, if you don't have a
name in the industry most artist will turn away if you don't
have a Pro Tools setup. (Crazy Huh?) Most people don't want to
do what I did for years which is brand myself.
With the help of the
Internet Marinated
Musiq now
breathes and I can tell people I bang tracks in cakewalk
and it would not matter. At least that is
what
over 2 million people
think... LOL!
Is Protools
HD Better Than Others
This is a question that many
industry people ask around the world. It's easy for me to
answer this question though.
The Answer is
NO!
What?
You Read That
Correctly.
Owning Protools won't make you
the best. I personally know producers and recording engineers
that crush competitors with Adobe Audition and Waves Bundles.
Seriously!
There are people that rock
with cheap software but
make hits everyday. Not saying that Adobe products are
WHACK. Not saying that Mercury and
Diamond Bundles are CHEAP. Just saying that
it's not the software that makes them great it's the person
operating them.
Remember this product is just
a name and it's all going to depend on who uses it that will
make it great or GARBAGE
!
If you can afford it and you
have a staff to run a setup like HD then I highly recommend it
but if you are just starting out weigh your options for
powerful software packages like Sonar, Cubase or Nuendo which
are great contenders.
What Are
The Recommended Computers For
Protools

I like this question because
it allows me to give praise to my workhorse laptop the
MacBook
Pro.
Oh, yeah! Even though I don't
work directly with the software I know that for a home studio
and many satellite professional studios my Mac
can run the setup.
If you are looking to do HD
type setups then I would not run with anything less than a Mac
Pro whether it's a laptop or the boss desktop.
Oh yeah, I also have a DELL
XPS because I also like running some programs like FL Studio
and others. Plus I do more than just bang beats for a living.
Those things require a PC because the platforms are not Mac
compatible.
