Can You Attend Recording and Production Schools Online?

The answer to this question is Yes and NO!

There is no way to substitute being around other producers and masters of hardware and software equipment. Some of the techniques you can learn in college courses are unmatched by anything. Plus you will have access to the best of the best. (Items that is)

However, you can look at online videos and learn many things too. I like searching through Youtube for different things like this...

You can literally spend a couple hours on Youtube and still not see all the videos they have for producing music. Plus there are hundreds more uploaded daily.

Even if you go to a great school it won't teach you everything you need to know about music production. There are going to be some long hours in and out of the studio. I do my best work around Three O'Clock in the morning.

Guess what I'm not the only producer that carries on with these type of hours either. Once you engage you will see what I mean.

Instead of me trying to force some new or old colleges down your neck let me do this. I challenge you to just search the Internet for great places to attend.

• Read the mixing and mastering information in your favorite CD.

Simple things like this along with Google or Yahoo's search directory will give you great decision making power. Once you have done these things you can make an intelligent decision that's worth it's weight in GOLD!
